MILWAUKEE -- Having a baby bring about some pretty big changes -- and at times it can be overwhelming. Counselor Christine Finerty joins Real Milwaukee to talk about how you can beat those baby blues.

The baby blues is a common mental and emotional reaction to having a child. They come about because of the big changes that go on when you have a baby. About 80% of moms experience the baby blues. That baby blues bring about increased emotions, anxiety, mood swings, difficulty sleeping and negative thoughts.
