Drivers take note: Construction to start on WIS 175 in Washington County

WASHINGTON COUNTY -- The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Southeast Region is scheduled to begin work on WIS 175 from Beechwood Industrial Court to Polk Street in March.

WIS 175 reconstruction project improvements include new concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer, asphaltic pavement, a shared-use path, new signing and pavement marking, and a roundabout at the intersection of WIS 175 and WIS 167.

All persons interested in the WIS 175 project are encouraged to attend an open-house meeting on Wednesday, February 17, from 4 to 6:30 p.m., at the Richfield Fire Station, 2008 WIS 175, Richfield, Wisconsin. The conference room is wheelchair accessible.

Mashuda Contractors of Princeton, Wisconsin has been awarded the $6.64 million contract to construct these improvements. Project plans, detour routes and other exhibits will be on display to illustrate the work in detail.

At 6 p.m., Mashuda will briefly present the schedule of operations. However, representatives from WisDOT will be able to answer schedule-related questions at any time.
