"Excited about the team:" M.P.D. adds seven members to executive command staff

MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee Police Department held a promotional ceremony Saturday, February 6th adding seven members to its executive command staff.

At the ceremony, Milwaukee Police Chief Ed Flynn promoted two more people to the position of assistant chief -- adding to the one he already had.

Five deputy inspectors were also promoted to full inspectors.

Flynn says it's essential to have the right people in the right places.

"They've got significant responsibilities, they are high achieving individuals who are highly respected in the department and it's a privilege to get a chance to promote them and I'm excited about the team that I've gotten to work with," said Flynn.

This gives the Milwaukee Police Department a total of eight senior leaders.
