Police: Teenage suspects arrested for carjacking on Milwaukee's northwest side

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police arrested two carjacking suspects after officers found them in the stolen vehicle taken in the crime.

Officers responded to the neighborhood near 92nd and Silver Spring around 1:25 p.m. on Monday, February 8th and met the victim. The 45-year-old man said he was inside his SUV when the suspects’ vehicle approached him. One of the male suspects got out of their car and demanded the victim’s car at gunpoint. The victim complied and the suspect fled from the scene in the SUV.

Around 3 p.m., officers received a call of a suspicious vehicle near 23rd and Burleigh. When they went to investigate, they saw the stolen SUV in a parking lot and two suspects inside. The suspects fled from the SUV on foot, but were quickly taken into custody.

The suspects are a 16-year-old Milwaukee male and a 17-year-old Milwaukee man.

MPD will present this case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
