Police investigate two separate shootings in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating two separate shooting incidents that occurred Sunday, February 14th.

The first shooting occurred around 9:45 a.m. inside a residence in the 8200 block of W. Kiehnau Avenue.

During a domestic altercation, the victim, a 27-year-old Milwaukee woman, was shot by another 27-year-old Milwaukee woman. That woman also suffered a gunshot wound. Both women were transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries and were arrested.

They will be ordered in to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office this week on charges of Negligent Handling of a Firearm

The second shooting happened around 2:35 p.m. in the 5200 block of N. 36th Street. Police say a 14-year-old boy was shot inside a vehicle following an attempted drug transaction in that vehicle.

He was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. MPD continues to seek a suspect.
