One killed in three-vehicle crash in Lake Geneva; weather believed to be a factor

LAKE GENEVA -- Lake Geneva police say one person was killed in a crash involving three vehicles that happened on Tuesday, February 16th.

It happened around 4:15 p.m. on Main Street, west of Elmwood Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers observed three vehicles involved in the crash. One sustained severe driver's side damage.

The occupant of that vehicle was pronounced dead a short time later at the hospital. She has been identified as 58-year-old Pamela Bennett of the Town of Geneva.

The drivers of the other two vehicles weren't hurt.

An initial investigation has revealed Bennett was headed west on Main Street, west of Elmwood avenue when she lost control of her vehicle. Her vehicle slid sideways, exposing the driver's side of her vehicle in the eastbound lane of traffic.

Bennett's vehicle then struck another vehicle -- and that vehicle then struck a third vehicle.

Police said weather was believed to have been a contributing factor in this incident.
