"It was crazy:" Man taken to the hospital after crashing van into porch near Locust & Farwell

MILWAUKEE -- A FOX6 News crew was on assignment on Milwaukee's East Side when a crash happened near Locust and Farwell. They arrived on scene before first responders, and saw how people in the area responded in an effort to protect each other, and the driver involved.

"All of a sudden the car came out of nowhere!" Paul Lorentz said. "I thought his car was going to start on fire because his rear tire was just burning and burning and burning."

Neighbors waited for first responders to arrive as the driver ignored their commands.
