Construction begins on brewery for Milwaukee's East Side

MILWAUKEE — Construction is set to begin on the first brewery on Milwaukee’s East Side.

Good City Brewing LLC signed a lease to convert the former Crank Daddy’s Bicycle Works space on Farwell Avenue near Windsor Place.

The space will house a 17-barrel brewhouse capable of producing a maximum of 10,000 barrels per year.

The brewery will include a taproom, a full kitchen and seating for 130 people.

It will have up to 15 employees.

It is set to open this year.
