Kohler police arrest man accused in series of thefts from vehicles at fitness facilities

SHEBOYGAN — Sheboygan police say a Milwaukee man was taken into custody by police in Kohler — accused in a series of thefts from vehicles in Kohler, Sheboygan and other communities.

The man was arrested on Monday morning, February 29th shortly before 10:00 a.m.

Police located the man near the “Sports Core” and they say he attempted to avoid arrest.

The incidents for which this man is believed responsible date back to 2015, and usually occurred with vehicles parked at the “Sports Core” in Kohler and Planet Fitness in Sheboygan.

Police say the man seemingly targeted vehicles where purses were left in plain sight inside the unoccupied vehicles.

The investigation is ongoing.
