Firefighters battle separate house fires in Milwaukee; no one hurt

MILWAUKEE -- Officials with the Milwaukee Fire Department are investigating two fires that occurred early on Sunday morning, March 6th.

The first fire occurred around 2:30 a.m. near Buffum and Locust.

Fire officials fought a fire on the exterior of a vacant building at that location. Fire was found on both the first and second floors.

No one was hurt.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The second fire happened around 5:00 a.m. near 10th and Burnham.

Fire was found on the first and second floor, and in the attic of a two-and-a-half story building.

Five people were displaced, but no one was hurt.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
