Police called out to KK River Parkway for "sudden death"

MILWAUKEE -- An investigation is underway after a body was found near the KK River Parkway on Monday afternoon, March 7th.

Police are calling this a "sudden death."

A man was found dead in the area around 1:45 p.m. Police were called to the scene by officials with the Milwaukee Fire Department.

The man has been identified as 43-year-old Curt Lamping.

Officials with the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office say Lamping was homeless.

The cause of death in this case is pending toxicology testing, but officials say there was no trauma to Lamping's body.

This death is not being treated as suspicious.
