The Racine Art Museum's 7th annual International PEEPS Art Exhibition is here

RACINE -- On Friday, March 18th the Racine Art Museum will present an untraditional exhibition showcasing fluffy, sugarcoated marshmallow PEEPS. The museum welcomes 123 entries that demonstrate the talent of over 154 artists.

Each year, the show's popularity draws over 3,000 visitors to the museum during its three-week run, setting daily attendance records along the way. This spring, visitors will discover creations such as Peep Kong Attacks Racine showcasing the city's architecture, Peeptarts with toaster, and an entry from local Girl Scout Troop 9113 entitled Peepdora.

All entries will be judged by a panel of experts, based on creativity and best use or representation of PEEPS. Prizes will be awarded in adult, children's, and group categories and announced the night of Thursday, March 17 during the Artist Reception and Awards Ceremony. In addition, one lucky artist will take home the coveted PEEPles Choice Award where the community votes for their favorite creation.

Enjoy FREE admission during First Friday in Downtown Racine on April 1, from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm. No Free Family Hands-On Art Activity will be offered. Visitors to the museum can vote for their favorite PEEPS work of art through Sunday, April 3. For more information about this exhibition, please visit ramart.org or call 262-638-8300.
