Milwaukee police need help identifying bank robbery suspect

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Tuesday, March 8th at the TCF Bank near 76th and Appleton.

Authorities say the suspect entered the bank, approached the teller and asked to make a withdrawal. The suspect then walked to the deposit slip table, after the teller directed him to fill out a slip.

The suspect then returned to the teller window with a note stating that he had a gun and demanded money. The suspect was provided money, exited the bank and was last seen heading in a southeastern direction on foot.

The suspect is described as a black man, between 20-29 years old, standing 5’9” - 6'0" tall, and weighing 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black zip-up hoodie-style sweatshirt, black baseball hat and dark pants.
