Mount Pleasant police seek suspect after "SF Petroleum" robbed at gunpoint

MOUNT PLEASANT -- Mount Pleasant police are seeking a suspect responsible for a robbery at SF Petroleum, near the intersection of 24th Street and Racine Street on Sunday, march 20th.

It happened around 9:00 a.m.

Police say the suspect entered the store and displayed a handgun. The suspect the fled the scene with an undetermined amount of money.

The suspect was described as a black man in his 20s wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.

No one was hurt during this armed robbery.

A caller to police advised that the suspect had fled on foot eastbound from the store.

Officers arrived at the store within minutes -- and police and K-9 units checked the area. The suspect wasn't located.
