Greenfield family forced from their home on Easter Sunday after fire

GREENFIELD -- A Greenfield family was forced from their home on Easter Sunday, March 27th after a fire tore through their home.

It broke out near 93rd and Cold Spring -- not even a minute away from the Greenfield Fire Department.

Fortunately, no one was hurt, but there was quite a bit of smoke and water damage to the home.

Officials with the Greenfield Fire Department said they're investigating the cause of the fire.

"We see a lot of electronics that are overwhelming power strips and outlets and I think a lot of times people don't realize the heat that those generate," Lt. Doug Tew said.
