DALLAS— A Wisconsin woman has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to meeting a 14-year-old Texas boy through online gaming and taking him to Wisconsin for sex.

Jennifer Lynn Dougherty was sentenced by a federal judge in Dallas on Wednesday. The 34-year-old Janesville woman pleaded guilty in December to two counts of traveling across state lines to engage in criminal sexual activity.

The boy’s parents reported him missing September 12th. Prosecutors say that’s when Dougherty flew to Dallas, she and the boy had sex at a hotel, then both flew to Wisconsin where they continued to have sex.

The pair returned to Texas on September 16th. Dougherty was arrested at Dallas Love Field and police recovered the boy.
