Get the kids in the kitchen: Fresh, flavorful recipes the whole family can help make



MILWAUKEE -- If you want your kids to eat healthy, you need to get them in the kitchen. Registered dietitian, Erica Cleven, joins Real Milwaukee with some recipes from her new cookbook "The Victory Bite."

Asian Lettuce Wraps
Impress your family with these flavorful, fancy-looking lettuce wraps.
Level 2
Makes 8 small wraps
Time 20 minutes

      Directions
      1. In nonstick skillet, cook and stir ground beef and garlic over medium-high heat 8 to 10 minutes or until no longer pink. Drain and rinse. Return to pan.
      2. Stir in brown sugar, soy sauce, ginger and red pepper flakes.
      3. Simmer, stirring occasionally, 3 to 5 minutes or until heated through.
      4. Spoon 1/4 cup meat mixture down center of each lettuce leaf. Top with green onion slices.

      Mix It Up: Top with sliced cherry tomatoes.

            Mix It Up: For fruit-infused brownies, spoon half of the batter into prepared pan; sprinkle in 1 cup fresh raspberries or pitted cherries and cover with remaining batter. Bake as usual.
