Two shot, wounded in separate incidents in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating a couple of shootings from late Saturday, April 9th and early Sunday.

The first shooting happened near 36th and Keefe around 10:40 p.m.. A 31-year-old man reported being shot after leaving a house in the neighborhood. The victim arrived at a hospital by means that are still being investigated. Police are trying to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

The second shooting happened around 2 a.m. Sunday on Milwaukee's near north side. The victim in this instance had just left a tavern near 5th and Garfield and was sitting in his vehicle when he was confronted by the suspect. During the confrontation, gunshots were fired at the victim and he received a gunshot wound.  The victim was conveyed to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  The search is on for a suspect in this case.
