65-year-old maintenance worker dies after falling from "scissor lift" at Pius XI High School

MILWAUKEE -- Officials with the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office say a 65-year-old man who fell from a "scissor lift" at Pius XI High School on Monday, April 11th died at Froedtert Hospital on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Mansour Ahangar of Milwaukee.

According to the medical examiner's report, Ahangar was admitted to the hospital around 4:30 p.m. Monday after falling 25 feet from a scissor lift to a wood gym floor at the school.

Ahangar was pronounced dead around 2:45 a.m. Tuesday.

The report indicates Ahangar's wife told investigators her husband was a maintenance worker at the school. He was repairing a heavy curtain in the gym that divides the gym into smaller sections when he fell.

An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.
