RACINE -- Chip spent the morning at The Racine Theatre Guild for Get Behind the Arts. Get Behind the Arts is a collective of Racine and Kenosha artists and supporters of the arts. Get Behind the Arts is offering an artists studio tour this weekend.

  • Friday, April 22 Preview Party Location: TBA
  • Saturday, April 23 Racine Studio Tour
  • Sunday, April 24 Kenosha Studio Tour

The tour provides the public a rare, behind-the-scenes glimpse of the innovative and productive world of the working artist. The Studio Tour is a self-guided tour of over 45 visual and performing artists’ studios featuring over 85 artists throughout Racine and Kenosha. There is a suggested donation of $5.

The Preview Party is a one-night only art exhibition and an exciting, fast-paced overview of what to expect during the tour. The Preview Party gives the public a chance to view one piece of art from each participating artist, meet the artists, and mark their tour maps for their must-see studio visit selections. Entertainment includes musical, dance, and theatre performances, poetry, art demonstrations, refreshments, raffle and a cash bar. The Preview Party is free.

    Where is the video of Chip Brewster singing “If I Were A Rich Man” from “Fiddler on the Roof” with Davidson Kane at the Racine Theatre Guild? It was part of the “Get Behind The Arts” package. Chip wore a fake beard and was wonderful!
