DODGE COUNTY — Officials with the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday morning, April 27th took two men into custody — and recovered about 35 firearms, thousands of rounds of ammunition and suspected drugs.

A search warrant was executed at a home on County Road J near 7 Hill Road in Reeseville early on Wednesday morning.

This search warrant was a part of a lengthy joint investigation conducted by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigative Division and the Federal Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) in regard to the purchasing and possession of firearms by individuals who have state or federal firearms disqualifiers prohibiting them from possessing a firearm.

An example of Liberal stupidity at its finest. Lets make stricter gun laws to keep the law abiding citizen from obtaining a firearm. These 2 were able to get guns without the background checks and all the current laws in place. Plenty of guns in that gun free zone called Chicago too. Libs..anything???crickets……..

Well, if a background check was performed on either one of these guys at any point…they likely wouldn’t be in possession of these guns. Unfortunately, private sales (person to person not involving a licenses firearms dealer) don’t require background checks because the NRA thought that would be too much of a hassle for John Q. Public to perform.

      • KaitiLu

Right, because those magazines show they were purchased from a legal, private owner. LOL Comments like yours make good points FOR the NRA. Thank you!!
(Liberal is a troll. Don’t feed it)

      • JokeEnthusiast

Huh? Wisconsin doesn’t have magazine size limits, there hasn’t been a federal ban on high-capacity magazines since 2004. A lot of those guns look like collectibles (especially near the top).

So by simple reasoning, these guys likely bought these guns from collectors or other private sales. Which back to my point, doesn’t require a background check. Therefore, if we had a law requiring background checks of private sales these guys (1 being a felon) likely wouldn’t have all these guns.

      • JokeEnthusiast

But that’s not to say that they could purchase guns illicitly. All I am saying it would be lot tougher for a convicted felon to buy a small arsenal if we had background checks for all legal sales.

It seems reasonable and I’d like to read anybody’s reasoning why not.

I was misinformed and spouted off too soon. Thank you for the education (and for not belittling me for my ignorance). While I don’t have the knowledge or experience to have guns, I have no problem with someone who does. I am also very against more gun control by government. You are right that required background checks could have prevented these men from obtaining a small arsenal. You have changed my opinion on that.

Now if this was a black person ..this would have so many negative comments but sense they are white I guess its OK..don’t forget all white people are angels..& I guess its obama fault..

I like the inclusion of four muzzle loaders and a single stroke air rifle in the collection. Too funny
