Two in custody after Racine County Metro Drug Unit serves search warrant, locates drugs

RACINE -- The Racine County Metro Drug Unit took two people into custody on Wednesday morning, May 4th after serving a search warrant on Wisconsin Ave. in Racine.

It was just before 9:30 a.m. when agents made a forced entry into the home in question. A 24-year-old man ran out the back door where Racine County Sheriff’s deputy and K9 partner “Friday” were positioned. The suspect was ordered to stop by the sheriff’s deputy but the man refused and kept running.

K-9 “Friday” was called upon to assist in the apprehension and arrest of the man. The suspect was treated at All Saints Hospital for dog bite wounds to his arm and taken to the Racine County Jail.

Drugs seized in Racine County raid



A 31-year-old woman was also located inside the residence, arrested and taken to the Racine County Jail.

Officials seized heroin, a digital scale, drug packaging material and a large amount of drug paraphernalia from the residence.

The two in custody could face the following criminal charges:


    The male suspect also faces one charge of delivering heroin.
