Police: 35-year-old man arrested, accused of robbing gas station in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE -- It was all about teamwork as a victim and District Seven officers worked together to quickly arrest an armed robbery suspect.

Officers responded to a gas station near Fond du Lac and Keefe around 5:45 p.m. on May 9th for a report of an armed robbery.

The victim, a 23-year-old male employee of the gas station, told officers a man walked into the store with two handguns and demanded money. The victim complied and gave the suspect money before the suspect fled from the scene in a vehicle.

The victim was able to give officers a detailed description of the suspect and the fleeing vehicle and within a few minutes the officers located the car in the 4500 block of W. Medford Avenue.

The suspect, a 35-year-old Milwaukee man and convicted felon, was located inside his residence and taken into custody. He had on him the money stolen from the gas station as well as the two guns used in the crime.

Milwaukee Police will present this case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days for charges.
