“It just has to stop:” One man dead after double shooting near Richards & Hadley

MILWAUKEE — Police are investigating a shooting that took place near Richards and Hadley around 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, May 14th.

Officials say three individuals were sitting in a car when two suspects approached the car and began shooting. The car drove off and crashed a short distance away.

Two of the people inside the car were hit by gunfire. Both were taken to a hospital by the Milwaukee Fire Department. One of them, a 29-year-old man, later died from his injuries.

The second victim, a 30-year-old man, is being treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

“There were plenty of police, plenty of tape. From the tree there to the parking lot here, by my driveway,” said a witness.dbl shooting4

“Seeing all the violence and the shootings and the killings — it just has to stop,” said another witness.

Suspects are being sought in this case.

    It is time to stop covering shootings on the north side. Nobody cares about them shooting each other up.
