Police: Three people shot in separate incidents; one an attempted burglary

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating three non-fatal shootings that happened on Sunday, May 15th.

The first happened around 10:00 a.m. near 68th and Hadley.

Police say a burglar was attempting to break into a home when someone inside the home shot the suspect.

The male shooting victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Police are investigating.

The second shooting happened near 35th and Hadley on Sunday night.

Police said a 25-year-old man was shot in the neck around 8:45 p.m.

Police say two people were engaged in a verbal argument when one person pulled out a gun and shot the other.  The victim was taken to the hospital by the Milwaukee Fire Department and is being treated for a serious gunshot wound.

The third shooting happened around 10:00 p.m. near 6th and Greenfield.

Police say the victim was walking when two suspects approached him, possibly to rob him. A struggle ensued and at some point the victim was shot.

The victim conveyed himself to the hospital, where he was being treated for a non-life threatening injury.

MPD continues to seek suspects.
