Fire investigation leads to discovery of body near 50th & Kennedy in Kenosha



KENOSHA -- Kenosha police are conducting a death investigation after a body was found at Simmons Island Park early Wednesday morning, May 18th.

Kenosha police and fire officials were called out the park around 12:40 a.m. for reports of a brush fire. When the fire was extinguished, officers located a burned body believed to be that of an adult male.

The medical examiner was notified and the body has yet to be identified.
