“Saved by the Bell” actor “Screech” released from jail after alleged probation violation

OZAUKEE COUNTY — FOX6 News has learned Dustin Diamond, the actor who played Screech on “Saved by the Bell” has been released from jail after being arrested for allegedly violating his probation.

On Thursday, May 26th, Ozaukee County Sheriff’s officials said Diamond was arrested Wednesday afternoon by the Saukville Police Department. There was no further information released related to why Diamond was arrested.

The Ozaukee County Jail tells FOX6 News, Diamond was in jail on a “probation hold.”

He did not have to post bond.

No charges have been filed against Diamond at this time.

    Just a guess, but if no charges were filed and no bail needed to be posted, maybe he didn’t actually violate his probation? You seem to be well versed on probation procedure.
