Car carrier strikes overpass along southbound Hwy. 45

MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office says a semi-trailer car carrier struck an overpass in the southbound lanes of Highway 45 on Tuesday afternoon, May 31st.

Officials say the trailer struck the overpass near Florist Avenue around 12:30 p.m. There was some debris tossed about -- but no injuries to report.

The southbound Appleton on-ramp and one lane of Highway 45 were shut down during this incident.

Officials say a bridge inspector was called to the scene. No damage was done to the bridge.
