Maltbey, 23, of Appleton, was one of two people who saw Wiener and Felton struggling and stopped to help. He was released from the hospital on Sunday, May 29th.

Appleton police say the shooting happened just after midnight Saturday on S. Kensington Drive, after two gas station thefts.

One of the thefts was not far from the fight on Kensington. The other happened on E. Newberry Street.

Appleton police say Wiener will not be granting interviews and also say they have asked Maltbey not to make public comments as the incident remains under investigation.
