National Weather Service: Survey shows storm damage in Mequon was from microburst

MEQUON -- Remember the stormy weather that blasted southeast Wisconsin on Saturday evening, May 28th? The National Weather Service (NWS) now says damage seen in Mequon from that storm was from a microburst.

An NWS survey confirmed damage in the area was consistent with straight-line wins estimated between 60 and 80 m.p.h.

The survey showed the storm uprooted trees which led to power outages. Officials say shingles were removed from a house.

FOX6 News viewers throughout southeast Wisconsin captured photos of the shelf cloud and stormy weather that blew through. We invite you to check them all out just below.
