Two wounded veterans to receive new homes in Jackson thanks to "Operation Finally Home"

JACKSON -- Two wounded veterans will soon be homeowners in Washington County.

Crews in the Village of Jackson are building the home on two adjacent lots -- thanks to "Operation FINALLY HOME."

On Thursday, June 2nd, crews spent the day sprucing up the lawn.

"Operation FINALLY HOME is a national non-profit organization, with a network of builders who put up homes for wounded veterans and their families.

"Now they're coming into these lovely homes side by side. They'll get to know each other. They'll be good neighbors. They'll be good for the neighborhood and we're happy to have them right around the corner," John Lamm with Operation FINALLY HOME said.

The veterans will receive the homes mortgage free.

The keys will be handed over to the veterans on Saturday, June 4th.
