Police: Two shot, wounded in two separate shooting incidents in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee police are investigating two separate shooting incidents that occurred Sunday night, June 5th.

The first shooting occurred at 7:30 p.m. near 27th Street and Medford Avenue.

Police say a 42-year-old man was approached by a known subject who shot him for reasons that remain under investigation. The victim then drove himself to a hospital for treatment of what is believed to be a non-life threatening injury.

The suspect fled the scene and is currently being sought by Milwaukee police.

The second shooting happened at 9:50 p.m. near 20th and Burnham.

Police say the 26-year-old victim indicated that he was driving on W. Burnham when he heard shots and realized he had been shot. He then drove himself to a hospital for treatment of what appears to be a non-life threatening injury.

Police say their investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident are ongoing.
