Violent Saturday: Police investigating three separate homicides

MILWAUKEE -- It was a violent weekend in Milwaukee -- and Milwaukee police are investigating three separate homicides that happened on Saturday alone.

The first incident happened around 2:30 a.m. Saturday, June 11th.

Police say a 49-year-old woman, identified by officials as Judy Smith, died as a result of blunt force trauma to her head and upper body.

It happened near 34th and Park Hill Avenue.

Police said they are seeking a known suspect in this case.

Homicide at 5th and Vienna



Less than two hours later, around 4:00 a.m., police were on scene near 5th and Vienna, where a 26-year-old woman was stabbed to death. That victim has been identified as Alexandria Taylor.

Police said a person of interest was taken into custody in this case.

Around 11:30 a.m., police were notified of a man's body found near 5th and Wright.

Officials with the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office told FOX6 News the man's body was found in a trash bin in the area. The victim in this case has been identified as 45-year-old Tzegai Hinson.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding this death.
