Adam Levine offers to pay for slain 'Voice' singer Christina Grimmie's funeral

Adam Levine, who mentored Christina Grimmie on season six of "The Voice," will pay for the late singer's funeral, according to Grimmie's brother.

Her brother Marcus made the announcement on Facebook late Sunday evening writing, "I found out this morning, that Adam Levine personally called my mother and said he will pay for the funeral and her plane flight, and I was blown away."

Grimmie was shot and killed by 27-year-old Kevin James Loibl on Friday as she met fans after her concert in Florida, according to authorities. Grimmie's brother tackled him to the ground and, moments later, Loibl fatally shot himself.

It's not clear what motive he may have had.

Since her death, Levine and dozens of artists in the music community have come forward with messages of support, heartbreak, and frustration.
