T. rex takes on 'American Ninja Warrior' in hilarious, impressive performance

It could be the tiny arms, or the massive head flopping on the end of the long neck, but the Tyrannosaurus Rex was the hands-down favorite contestant on the "American Ninja Warrior" course Monday.

It wasn't the actual dinosaur, of course, but competitor Riko River wearing a fantastic, inflatable T. rex costume.

After a tough week marred by the nation's deadliest shooting inside an Orlando nightclub, Rivera told the New York Daily News he was happy he could put a smile on people's faces.

"Many people have said this video has brought them a lot of light and happiness in this dark time for our country," Rivera said. "To those affect by the attack, I can only hope that this video may lift your spirits and take your mind away from the pain if only just for a moment."

Rivera may not have completed the entire course, but he certainly won the audience's applause and laughter during a difficult time.
