MILWAUKEE -- The Wisconsin Department of Transportation held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday morning, June 23rd -- at the new on-ramp from 84th Street to eastbound I-94.

The event marked the completion of what is called the "Core 1 segment" of the Zoo Interchange project.

With the completion of the work at 84th Street, the segment of I-94 east of 90th Street will be complete and in its final configuration. Officials say the work is being completed slightly ahead of schedule.
