London White faces amended charges in fatal shooting near Waukesha's Bugline Trail

WAUKESHA COUNTY -- Criminal charges have been amended in the case against 22-year-old London White in connection with an apparent drug deal gone bad.

Prosecutors say White shot a 16-year-old boy near the Bugline Trail in May because he was given an empty backpack instead of marijuana. That teenager, identified as George Erickson, has since died. Now, White faces the following amended charges:

White has been in custody since the early morning hours of May 16th — two days after the shooting. Cash bond was set at $250,000 on May 25th — the date of his initial appearance in court. White is due back in court on July 22nd.

Meanwhile, Niikwame Bell, the second person charged in this case, faces one count of manufacturing/delivering THC (less than 200 grams), as party to a crime, and one count of maintaining a drug trafficking place in this case.

Officials with the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department said Bell was arrested on May 14th, shortly after the shooting.
