PORTLAND, Ore. — An Oregon woman fatally shot a home intruder after she found him hiding in her child’s bedroom early Sunday, KGW reports.

Officials went to the woman’s home around 1:45 a.m. Sunday after receiving a report of a homeowner shooting someone inside the home.

The woman, 33, told police she returned home with her two children, ages 5 and 10, and found a stranger in one of her child’s bedrooms. She was armed with a handgun and fired at least one shot at the man.

Officers found the man, 59, dead at the scene. Police did not identify him, citing the need to notify his family.

An autopsy will be performed Monday, according to Oregon Live.

Officers did not arrest the homeowner, who they said was cooperating with investigators.

The investigation is ongoing.

Yea, it would be better if guns were banned – the guy would still be alive. Even though he could have done only God knows what to the kids, the Cops could have searched for him and brought him to justice if he took off from the home. Just have to assume he wouldn’t have harmed the kids or parents…………….NOT!!!

Barrett and Flynn would have her arrested and make a public example of her as a murderous unfit mother that needs to be shamed and removed from society.

So you are saying that she is a murderer and unfit mother for shooting an intruder that was in HER HOUSE and in her child’s bedroom. Im confused as to how you came to the conclusion as her being a murderer and unfit mother. Maybe you should read the article again.
