"Really hurts:" 2 of 3 vehicles stolen during break-in at Cedarburg dealership recovered, suspects at large

CEDARBURG -- Authorities are investigating a break-in that occurred overnight at a car dealership in Cedarburg. Six suspects are at large, and officials are looking for one of three vehicles that was stolen.

The break-in happened at the 5 Corners Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM dealership -- located near Washington Avenue and Highway 60 around 2:30 a.m.

Three vehicles were stolen after forced entry was made to the dealership.

An investigation has revealed approximately six suspects -- described as black males, possibly juveniles, entered the dealership by breaking a glass office window with a brick.

The suspects then removed several electronic devices from the office area and three vehicles from the service garage.

The vehicles included:

The suspects caused substantial damage to the dealership and vehicles.

One of the vehicles, the gold Dodge Caravan was used to ram an overhead service door in order to exit the service garage.  The vehicle was later located and recovered in the proximity of the dealership.

The 2017 gray Chrysler Pacifica van was later recovered unoccupied in the area of W. Keefe Avenue and N. Teutonia Avenue in Milwaukee.

The 2014 silver Dodge Dart bearing Wisconsin registration plate 565-WCB is still missing.

The dealership's owner is dealing with several thousand dollars worth of damage caused by these thieves -- who drove out of the dealership through the service door.

    Roman Weninger

"They stole three vehicles from inside the dealership and drove them right through the door," Roman Weninger said. We`ve got good security for vehicles parked on the lot and good security on the showroom floor. It`s just that we were working on vehicles in the service department and they were able to basically drive a couple of those away. It takes effort to do something like this and they`re better off putting their effort in a more positive direction. To get involved in this type of activity really hurts people. It really does. I mean, here at 5 Corners, we have 50 employees. This is setting us back a little bit."
