Investigation underway after suspicious fire at 30th & St. Paul; woman, child displaced

MILWAUKEE — An investigation is underway after a suspicious fire Thursday night, July 7th in Milwaukee.

Fire crews responded to a home near 30th and St. Paul around 9:35 p.m.

Fire was found on the second floor of the home.

No one was hurt — but a woman and her child were displaced as a result of this fire.

The fire caused an estimated $45,000 worth of damage to the home.

The home did not have working smoke detectors.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
