Suspects sought in two unrelated shooting incidents in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are seeking suspects in two shooting incidents that happened late Friday, July 8th and early Saturday, July 9th.  The incidents are unrelated.

The first shooting occurred around 9:45 p.m. on N. 16th St. just south of North Ave. A 23-year-old man told police he was standing on the sidewalk when occupants from a passing vehicle fired gunshots at him. The victim was shot from the gunfire. The victim was taken to a hospital. He is being treated for a non-life threatening injury.

Shooting investigation near 31st & Wisconsin, Milwaukee



The second shooting happened around midnight near 31st and Wisconsin Ave.

Police say the circumstances surrounding this shooting are unclear. However, witnesses observed the victim laying in the median suffering from a gunshot wound. The 21-year-old man victim was taken to a hospital. The victim’s injuries are serious, but he is expected to survive.
