MILWAUKEE — Race and policing — it’s a conversation happening around the U.S. Milwaukee Police Chief Ed Flynn participated in a nationally televised town hall with President Barack Obama discussing the issues.Chief Flynn

Chief Flynn spoke with the President for close to four minutes about community and police relations. How to improve them and asked the President to continue the conversation.

“A lot is expected of you Mr. President,” said Flynn.

Flynn stood in front of President Obama and a national audience sharing his thoughts on race and policing.

“I’m basically going to ask you to find a way to cross parallel conversations,” said Flynn.

Asking the President to guide the nation and keep the conversation going.

“The heart of the police dilemma is those neighborhoods that demand our services, need us the most, request us the most, depend on us the most, for social and historical reasons, distrust us,” said Flynn.Black lives matter

“We shouldn’t get too caught up in this notion that people who are asking for fair treatment are somehow automatically anti-police or trying to only look out for black lives,” said Obama.

Back in Milwaukee…

“I thought the chief did a very, very good job,” said Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett.

Mayor Tom Barrett applauds Flynn on the discussion.

“The chance he had to talk directly to the President shows you that he’s held in high regard and the Milwaukee Police Department is held in high regard,” said Flynn.

Those who don’t normally normally see eye-to-eye with Flynn, have a new perspective.

“I saw a different side of the chief,” said Maria Hamilton, Coalition for Justice.

Maria Hamilton’s son, Dontre, was shot and killed by a Milwaukee police officer in 2014. She says she applauds Flynn for speaking to the President, but wishes the chief would have the same discussion locally.

“We’re looking to actually have dialogue with him and the other police officers at some point how they actually police the urban areas in Milwaukee,” said Maria.

Flynn also brought up problems with guns and gun control in the U.S.

President Obama said the politics around firearms make it very difficult to have a discussion on the issue.

  • Hillary is a HE-devil!!

A real meeting of the mindLESS!!! Hey Chief Wiggum, did you tell Der Fuhrer Obama it’s the guns fault why blacks are rampantly killing and committing so many crimes against other blacks (not to mention against Whites,Hispanics,Asians, etc) here in Milwaukee?

The guns fault is never brought up in black on black crimes. Nor or the blacks. It’s just swept under the rug. The barely mentioned gun control he did at the end is to take away legally purchased legally owned guns because there is a LIST of those. The ones bought illegally/stolen have no records and are unable to be found/tied to a shooter, so those are the ones that will stay. Good folks will be unable to defend themselves with a gun.

Oh I know,I was being sarcastic. Chief Wiggum,as well as Mayor McCheese,Der Fuhrer Ovomit, and the rest of the liberal politicians, will never admit black on black anything. Wiggums too busy throwing good WHITE Officers under the bus to care about what the truth is,unlike Sheriff Clarke, and former GREAT Chief Harold Breier (RIP Sir),who tell and told it like it REALLY is!!!!

So I wonder if Flynn was bending over and grabbing his ankles while he was asking his questions to Obama. He is pretty much used to it working everyday under Barrett.

Race and policing. rofl It’s should be just policing. RACE in front of it is letting thugs from 13 to 113 get away with everything and making the good people (few tho they are) suffer and be terrified. You cannot help WHERE you live but if the thugs are all put in jail(13-113) eventually the good people will be all that’s left. It doesn’t matter if there are more of one color in jail then another. If that’s who the problem is that’s who should be jailed. As for you, Maria; when the groups SHOUT down the police , including the chief, refuse to listen and block sidewalks and traffic, huck rocks break windows, etc. That’s not dialogue. That’s going to get you arrested. He has TRIED to talk with groups, including you and yours and you get all bucky and belligerent, Yelling and screaming is NOT dialogue.
