Police investigate homicide at 11th and Atkinson; 24-year-old man killed

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating a homicide that happened on Sunday evening, July 17th.

It happened around 5:15 p.m. near 11th and Atkinson.

Police say a 24-year-old man was approached and shot by at least one suspect who fled the scene after the shooting. The victim has been identified as Marques  Addison.

The victim died at the scene despite the life-saving efforts of Milwaukee police and fire personnel.

The investigation is ongoing.
