With Lakefront Gateway Project underway, improvements planned at War Memorial

MILWAUKEE -- Improvements are planned around Veterans Park, near the Milwaukee County War Memorial.

With the $25 million "Lakefront Gateway Project" underway, War Memorial officials are planning to redesign the parking lot.

Early stages of the plan would add more stormwater control systems, green space, and more parking spots with the redesigned layout.

The main goal is to create a more meaningful connection between the War Memorial and Veterans Park.
