Brett Favre's wife, Deanna to introduce him at Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Canton, Ohio

CANTON, Ohio -- Brett Favre's wife, Deanna, will introduce him during his Pro Football Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Canton, Ohio on August 6th.

According to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, this is only the second time ever a wife will present her husband at this ceremony.

Favre selected his wife to present him for enshrinement.

“Deanna is the best teammate I’ve ever had. She has been by my side throughout this journey and I’m so excited that she gets to play such an important role for me,” Favre said in a statement posted on the Pro Football Hall of Fame's website.

The only other wife to serve as a presenter was Kim Singletary for her husband Mike in 1998, according to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

“Serving as Brett’s presenter is a great honor,” Deanna commented. “I am thrilled to be able share this special moment in time with him.”

Pro Football Hall of Fame coaches John Madden and Marv Levy are among the presenters chosen to welcome the eight-person Class of 2016.

Madden will speak on behalf of the late quarterback Ken Stabler, who played for Madden with the Oakland Raiders in the 1970s. The quarterback died in 2015 at the age of 69.

Levy will be the presenter for offensive lineman Dick Stanfel, who died last year at 87.
