37-year-old Milwaukee man dies following two-vehicle crash in Rock County

ROCK COUNTY -- The Wisconsin Department of Transportation tells FOX6 News a 37-year-old Milwaukee man has died following a two-vehicle crash in Rock County, near Clinton.

The crash occurred around 7:00 a.m. Saturday, July 30th.

Officials say the 37-year-old man was traveling in a Jeep Grand Cherokee, reportedly at a high rate of speed, south on I-43 near milepost 4.

Another driver traveling in a silver Malibu was in the right lane of I-43 south at the same location.

According to the WisDOT, the driver of the Jeep was still weaving back and forth from lane to lane at a high rate of speed, when they rear-ended the Malibu.

Officials say the Jeep rolled over several times and the driver was ejected. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Malibu was transported for treatment of neck and back pain.

The name of the victim is being withheld until family notification.
