Motorcyclist killed after collision with minivan in Town of Vernon

WAUKESHA COUNTY -- A 55-year-old woman was killed after a minivan collided with the motorcycle she was traveling on in the Town of Vernon on Saturday, July 30th.

The incident occurred around 1:00 p.m.

According to the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department, a 56-year-old man and 55-year-old woman, were traveling on a motorcycle on Highway ES (National Avenue), when a minivan, driven by a 41-year-old woman, pulled out in front of them causing a crash.

Authorities say the female passenger of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. The 56-year-old male operator of the motorcycle was transported to Froedtert Hospital -- it is unclear the extent of his injuries.

The 41-year-old woman driving the minivan was not injured.

No other details have been released.
