Milwaukee Brewers trade reliever Will Smith

MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Brewers have confirmed that relief pitcher Will Smith has been traded to the San Francisco Giants. In return the Brewers will get right-handed pitcher Phil Bickford, who is is San Francisco’s top prospect. They also acquired Andrew Susac, a 26-year-old catcher. Smith pitched in 27 games for the Brewers this season. He had one win and 3 loses with a 3.68 ERA. Smith has been with the Brewers since 2014.

    The gutting of a team which has just begun showing promise. Too bad they are more concerned about Mark A.’s bank account than making fans happy.
