Terrifying video shows bullets flying during attempted robbery at store; employees, customers scrambling

HOUSTON, Texas -- Terrifying surveillance video shows three armed men storming into a supermarket and trying to rob the place. Two men inside the store managed to get into a back room and get the door locked just in time!

The video shows a gunshot to the ceiling that sent both customers and cashiers running.

Two men rushed into the store, but a cashier managed to shut and lock the door just in time. The men tried everything -- but they couldn't get through.

While they were at the front of the store, another armed man headed to the back of the store.

He put a gun to a customer's head. In the video, the customer looks as though he was practically begging the gunman to take his wallet.

The gunman tried to break through the door, but his bullets and kicks were unsuccessful.

Seconds later, all three suspects were gone.

"If I was meant to die that day, I would've been dead, but it's all God's grace. Saved all of us," Noor Kadiwala, cashier said.

Kadiwala is seen wearing gray in the video. He can be seen running to the back room and shutting the door. He then opened the door for another cashier, before closing the door and locking it again less than a second before the robber arrived.

The second may have made the difference between life and death.

"At that point in time, nobody thinks. It just happens," Kadiwala said.

"I couldn't believe that somebody opened the door to let her in. You could've been so scared that you're like, 'you know what? The door is closed. It's staying closed. I don't care,'" Ariel Guerrero, customer said.

"I was just down on the floor, crawling back and forth, thinking if I'm lucky enough to dodge the bullets...they even shot through the door and two bullets passed right next to my face," Kadiwala said.

Outside the store, cameras captured the men coming and going in a green Mitsubishi.

"From now on, we have to be careful. Watch the surroundings and customers. There is no control. Anything could happen," Binod Khanao, manager said.
