Donald Trump, Mike Pence speak at campaign appearance in Green Bay

GREEN BAY --  Donald Trump officially endorsed House Speaker Paul Ryan at his campaign rally at Green Bay's KI Convention Center Friday, August 5th. Trump spoke for well over an hour.

Trump was introduced by his running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, and then talked on a wide range of topics.

Trump says he's going to make a lot of changes, but for that to happen he needs Republicans in the House and Senate to make it a reality.

He compared his campaign to that of Ronald Reagans, saying he would bring in both Democrats and Independents and unify the Party.

That's when he delivered his endorsement for Speaker Ryan.

"We will have disagreements, but we will disagree as friends and never stop working together toward victory. And very importantly, toward real change so in our shared mission, to make America great again, I support and endorse our Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan," said Trump.

Ryan was not there in person to hear the endorsement. Officials with his office said he had a full day scheduled on Friday.

Governor Scott Walker, U.S. Senator Ron Johnson, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus all took a pass on the event.

That is a sign there is still a long way to go to unite the Party, but Friday's endorsement is clearly a step to try and do that.

Trump was in Iowa before he made his way to Green Bay. There, he focused much of his speech on Hillary Clinton.

"She is a dangerous liar and you saw that with the FBI Director where he came out and said she lied -- lied, lied, lied -- all the other things she's done. And then on Sunday she said, he never said that," said Trump.
